How to apply

How to apply for the Moot Award

Who is Eligible?

Cambridge residents in their junior or senior year at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, Prospect Hill Academy Charter School, or the Community Charter School of Cambridge.

The winner or winners will be invited to attend a meeting of the Cambridge Club to be recognized.

Note: The committee may distribute the award to more than one recipient each year depending on the circumstances and reserves the right to withhold the award at its sole discretion.


How to apply:

Submit:

  • your address, phone number, school, dean, and guidance counselor
  • names, telephone numbers, and email addresses of two persons we can contact to discuss your community service work
  • a statement no longer than one and a half pages in length describing in detail your community service project(s). Be specific about what you have done and how your service has affected you as well as the organizations with which you worked
  • a personal statement describing your goals, no longer than one page. Mail application materials to: mootaward@gmail.com


Request:

  • Letters of recommendation from two people (other than a member of your family) who know your community service project in detail. These letters should be no longer than one page. Recommendations can come from teachers, guidance counselors, or leaders of organizations and programs in which you have served as volunteers. 
  • These confidential letters should be emailed directly from the recommenders to mootaward@gmail.com.


Deadline: 

The same day as CRLS scholarship applications are due, generally mid-February.
